Nigerian Police Action 1967 Biafra AfricaThe start of the Nigerian Civil War as the Nigerian government launch their police action to capture Nsukka and Garkem. Garkem doesn't really seem to be much of a place and so I have set the eastern objective as Ogoja. THe Nigerian police action began on the early hours of 6 July 1967. Garkem (Ogoja) fell on 12 July 1967 whilst Nsukka fell on 14 July 1967. This started the civil war. Following this Biafran forces invaded Nigeria to the west, which is another scenario. The map is top heavy with the action all taking place in the top hexes, but should give a reasonable perspective of the geography of Biafra. The bottom south-western area is not included.
