Battle of Najaf
United States advance towards Bagdad, passint Najaf.
The scenario contains four main elements.
1) capture of the northern bridge, Jenkins
2) capture of the southern bridge, Floyd
Up until this point that would have been enough as the US strategy was to simply bypass the cities, but the problem was that the Iraqis were then left to harrass the lines of supply and communications. As such they opted to clear the city.
3) surround Najaf
4) assault Najaf.
